For over two decades, I worked as a senior leader for national and international purpose-driven organizations—helping shape strategy, guide culture, and deliver impact. I sat at the executive table, working closely with Boards, advising CEOs, and leading cross-functional teams through moments of growth, disruption, and reinvention. My work spans a wide range of industries and interests, giving me a broad perspective on what drives organizational success.

An A-ha Moment—Quiet but Catalytic

Jessica's path to mission-driven work began with serendipity. She accepted a job at a nonprofit medical association, unaware that this decision would set the course for a decades-long career.

From the outset, something clicked. She was surrounded by people who led with purpose—driven not just by performance, but by the desire to create lasting impact. Strategy had stakes. Storytelling had heart. And every initiative—every detail—was tied to something bigger than itself.

It was a serendipitous start that sparked a lifelong calling.

Three Decades of Purpose-Driven Growth

Jessica helps national and international mission-driven organizations navigate growth, change, and brand evolution with clarity and momentum. She founded Salt & Birch Consulting to bring executive-level strategy and hands-on support to nonprofits, associations, and certification bodies—especially those ready to chart a new course, sharpen their relevance, and move confidently toward what’s next.

Board, CEOs, and senior leadership teams seek her to bring clarity in moments of opportunity or uncertainty. Jessica has led efforts around rebrands, market repositioning, membership acquisition, culture change, and new product development—helping teams align around vision, strategy, and the member experience. She brings structure to ambiguity, facilitates alignment across teams, and translates big ideas into practical, measurable action.

Most recently, she served as Vice President of Marketing & Member Experience at the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association (AOPA), where she led efforts to modernize marketing systems, redefine the organization’s value proposition, and implement retention and acquisition strategies that contributed to a record year in membership and $30 million in dues and product revenue.

Before AOPA, Jessica spent 17 years at Inteleos, a global nonprofit medical certification organization, where she rose to Chief Marketing, Communications, Certification & Engagement Officer. Under her leadership, the organization expanded its portfolio from four to thirteen certifications and reached more than 125,000 professionals across 70+ countries.

Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the National Wildlife Federation, and the Society of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging—building a deep understanding of brand development, member engagement, and the intersection of mission and message across diverse cause-driven sectors.
